Traineeships

Full-time traineeships are available in the printing & graphic communications industry in several areas, and are a great way to make a start on your career. Trainees work on-the-job learning a lot about the printing & graphic communications industry and they attend formal training – either at TAFE or other training places – for about 4 weeks, either in a single block or for a few days at a time.

Full-time traineeships are usually for 12 months and at the end you receive a Certificate II in Printing & Graphic Arts. You have the choice of traineeships in design, desktop publishing, multi media, printing, finishing or screen printing.

When you’ve finished your traineeship you may decide to continue with your printing & graphic communications industry career in one of several areas. Otherwise, your Certificate II qualification will identify you as being a good candidate for other career choices you may make.
